Try some Jolly German™ Bing Cherry Jelly!

Celebration Salad

This recipe is time consuming but well worth the effort!

  • 2 packages of lime jello
  • 2 packages of strawberry of red cherry jello
  • 4 cups of boiling water
  • 2 ½ cups of cold water
  • 2 packages of unflavored gelatin
  • 2 cups of milk
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 2 cups of sour cream
  • 2 teaspoons of vanilla

In four bowls, dissolve each package of jello in 1 cup of boiling water. A 1/2 cup cold water to each each bowl and stir. Pour one bowl of lime jello into an oiled fancy tube pan; chill until almost set, about 30 minutes. Leave other three bowls at room temperature. Soften unflavored gelatin in remaining cold water; let stand five minutes.

Heat milk in saucepan to just below boiling. Add softened gelatin and sugar until sugar is dissolved. Stir in sour cream and vanilla until smooth.

When lime jello in tube is almost set, spoon 1 ½ cup of sour cream mix over it carefully. Chill again.

In thirty minutes, spoon one bowl full of red jello over cream layer and chill mixture.

Repeat, waiting thirty minutes between layers. Chill overnight and turn out on flat plate. It looks AWESOME!
